Solid but also a little stolid, quite tannic and not very expressive, quite a decent bottle but not as good as a 2010 L'Argenteyre tasted alongside. The sort of second wine that shows why CBs are so much better value.

Inky garnet. Tasting on a 30 min decant (quite some sediment already). Huge fruit on the enticing nose. Strawberries, blackcurrant jam, vanilla and of course the Medoc leatheriness. Medium body and refreshing. Smooth tannins are well balanced with a palette of cassis and redcurrant, with a slight secondary figginess coming through. Very easy drinking from this classic and accessible Claret.

CONFRARIA - JANEIRO 2007 - BORDEAUX 2000 (RUBAYAT) : Ruby escuro. Aromas verdeais de bosque,quimico e café. Tanto no nariz como na boca a madeira se ressalta talvez por ainda não estar integrada. Tostado, café, cassis e um leve amargor marcam o sabor, com uma boa concentração de fruta, boa acidez e taninos firmes. Deve melhorar um pouco com o tempo.Média persistência. Ótimo.
