Domaine Robert Groffier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses

Domaine Groffier Dinner with Nico Groffier (Oriole - Chicago IL) : Alongside Bonnes Mares, this was leaner, brighter, and longer. All red fruits with very good balance and length. Not nearly the depth of the two Amoureuses 2022 cuvees tasted next, but a very successful 2021.

Flower/ plum nose, good acidity. Medium to dark red in colour. Long length flavours of raspberry and red fruits, lingering sweetness that transforms into a slight tartness with subdued tannins. Easy drinking and very approachable now. If you decide to open a bottle my experience suggests decanting or waiting for a couple of hours as this wine improves and show more complexity over time. My big question to all.... is does this vintage and style of wine lend its self …
