This wine has great potential, but I think it is a bit too young right now. Notes of light red fruit, predominantly strawberry, but the flavors seem disjointed right now. I believe with a bit more time, more harmony will be reached, and this wine will improve significantly.

For 2023, Produttori del Barbaresco's Langhe Nebbiolo was sourced entirely from vineyards within Barbaresco. As such, the 2023 version of this wine is essentially a declassified Barbaresco. Aged for four months in neutral French oak botti, it was released within a year of harvest and is very approachable even at this early stage. Light-to-medium garnet in color, it offers an aromatic profile of raspberries, cranberries, bergamot oil, fresh apricots, rose petals, clove and white pepper. Medium-bodied, nicely lifted, seamlessly alcoholic …

Really delicious: an alluring nose, juicy bright fruit, smooth fat-cutting acidity, and enough complexity on the finish to satisfy. Worthy of more detailed analysis.

Light and airy on the palate yet beautifully balanced. Expressive aromatics with a ripe, almost jammy impression on the nose, followed by a surprisingly graceful, elegant mouthfeel. Bright acidity integrates seamlessly with fine tannins, creating a harmonious, easy-drinking expression of Nebbiolo that overdelivers and is a genuine pleasure to drink.

Very fine nebbiolo from a great producer. Quite rounded and almost rich for a Nebbiolo, but well balanced in general. Great QPR under $25.

Pale garnet. Smelled somewhat faint cherry, roses, earth, licorice, bergamot; the taste confirms. Rather lacking intensity--the tough vintage showing I would guess--but the tannin and acid are balanced, and it finishes medium and savory. Still pleasant to drink but not the greatest vintage of this.

Not sure what everyone is complaining about here, this is drinking beautifully. I reckon it needed a few months more in the bottle to calm down because now it’s just silky smooth, grippy with the tannins and despite its 14% abv, is drinking too easily. No complexity for sure, but a wine that tastes like strawberry shortcake is a good enough wine in my book.

This is an easy drinking but still sophisticated with beautiful high toned fruit on the nose, ripe cherry, flowers, a touch of mint. Light in color and medium weight on the palate. Great, open, winter red that is delicious with food. Great QPR.

I normally like wines from this producer, but this one doesn't work. The 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo is a bit medicinal. It has a fine layer of tannin, and not much appeal. I was gifted this bottle so I should be pleased. Thank U next!

Aromas of roses, cranberries, pomegranate, and red sour cherries. It has that Nebbiolo characteristic to it with high acid and high tannins. Not my favorite Nebbiolo. The front and mid palate were a little too robust for my liking. On the palate you tasted unripe cranberries, red sour cherries, tea tree eucalyptus, and a touch a flower.

On nose: faint eucalyptus, cherry pits and a ghost of damp earth. On palate: above flavour notes enhanced, with the damp earth muted....tart strawberry, cherry flesh, hay and dry red florals emerge on a cleanly acidic, almost Burgundian body of full flavoured lightness, without being thin....superb entry level wine from this producer. Good partner for salmon and red sauced pasta.

This is a fantastic PQR wine. Bright ruby red color with a fruit forward nose. Nose is fresh red fruits (cherry, strawberry, raspberry). Even after a day (uncorked), the fresh red fruits are still strong. Taste is exactly like the nose - cherry, raspberry, strawberry, and a hint of dried florals that the area is known for. Wine is balanced, finish is clean, and not overly long. This is a great chilled, summer red, but it's also a really lovely …

Pale ruby-garnet. Medium intensity nose, first impression is of something metallic, which goes into unripe strawberry and sour cherry with something herbaceous. Palate is high acid, high tannin with the usual tight nebbiolo quality, but the fruit doesn't stand up to the structure, and the alcohol shows a little as well. It comes into slightly better balance with some air, and is okay with food, but the unripe and metallic quality remains. 2023 is reputed to be a difficult vintage, …

By the Quartino at Via Carota. Pitch perfect classic Nebbiolo nose - tart strawberries & cranberry, roses, earth and a little orange peel & spices. Very light w good acid. The palate was similar, tart red, floral. High acid. Light and pure. I liked it better when first poured - to me it got a little sour in the palate w food and time. Kind of bland compared to peers in its price category. Basic primary fruit, but seems weak and inexpressive, slightly watery. Maybe it’s the vintage, but compared to other langhes I think I’ll skip this in the future until proven otherwise. A miss from an otherwise rock solid producer, so for now I’ll chalk this up to a weak vintage.

solid nebbiolo langhe. accomplishes the structure+acid+tannin profile, slightly waxy lips. would definitely recommend a decant and letting it breathe an hour ahead of serving, the nose was so shy initially and was more fruity and floral, crisp cherry and violets on the entry, midpalate is more mineral, more ashtray than smoldering asphalt inside a vegas casino parking lot in august so it doesn't quite scream baby barberesco like other (albeit more expensive) DOC level langhe nebbiolo i've tasted from this 2022 …

Nose: Raspberry, cherry, licorice, alcohol. Palate: Leans more to earth, licorice, wet clay, and then red fruit. Firm grip of tannins, medium high acidity, medium light body. Good stuff. I have one more bottle of this vintage that I would like to try at the 10 year mark. Feels like it has some stuffing to go a bit longer.
