Anfangs noch etwas spröde, wurde er mit ca. 60 Minuten Luft besser. Eher die rustikale Schiene. Klassischer, Bordeaux, Medoc. Gewisser Anteil Bret. Gereift. Sehr reif. Bis ca. 2021 austrinken! Die letzten 6-8 cl. dann 89-90 Punkte. Aromatisch, würzig, passend zum Entrecote! Insgesamt um 87 Punkte zu Beginn. 88 Punkte. 12,5 % Vol. Moderater Alkohol, bekömmlich.

During a tasting, served semi blind. Medium garnet. Nose of barnyard, wood, some dark fruit. Rather rustic tannins on the palate with pronounced acidity. Aroma are ok but the structure not really polished.

I love this wine, and so do my friends (non-wine-drinkers). Plus, you can usually find it for less than $20 (Sherry-Lehman). Easy forward fruit in the hot 2003: up-front cherry and a bit of cassis, accessible spice and softy-soft tannins (friends appreciated the lack of "bitterness"). Great all-around to keep on hand for parties.

Very intense deep purple colour. Spicy, dusty, plummy, dried red apple nose with some mocha notes. Spicy, dry, medium bodied, bright, not overly rich, fairly crisp, plummy, dried red apple flavours with a lingering finish.
