Nose is musty and muddy Overall not delivering, very flat

Consumed over three nights and peaked on night two. Medium to dark garnet. Dark florals, black raspberry, dark fresh soil, streak of minerality. A lot of density and concentration mid-palate. Fruit leans darker, dark cherry, black licorice, touch of iron. Earthy sage on the finish. There is a richness to this wine. I liked this a tad more on N2 but it lost its fastball on N3

brighter floral aromatics and palate with some red fruit…raspberry fruit more fine tannin here seems younger. Maybe lacked the depth of the two favorites but this was very fine

Tasted over 2 hrs and day 2 -med dark red purple minimal clearing -low-key dark berry wet stone; more expressive dark fruit on day 2 -med+ acidity, med- weight some pretty dark pinot fruit with some earthy licorice tar bitter elements a bit of oak and saline minerality, med/med+ tannins are a bit dried out; softer fuller with cassis fruit and cocoa -a bit disappointing on the first day, but may also just need a few more years to come …

Popped and poured with steak au poivre. Bright cherry and plum. Light oak frame that gives way to some nice spice and earth notes. Super juicy and one of those wines you just want to drink.

An Afternoon Tasting Burgundy (Chevalier Fine Wines - Elmhurst IL) : Very similar to the 2010, just ripe and fresher. Another great aromatic start, even if on the ripe side and somewhat jammy and one-dimensional. Final pour 24 hours later was slightly more balanced, but still not at the level I would hope.

Finally opened one of these after accumulating a significant stash in recent years. I had the mistaken impression these were negoc wines, however Bruno Desaunay-Bissey is described as a proprietaire-recoltant (PR). In any event the wine doesn't disappoint, delivering a pleasing mix of red and black fruits, ripe but not ponderous. It's not overflowing with savories at this point in time, but there is some attractive spice box and a moderately subtle sheen of gingerbread oak. I'm curious to see …

Really in a nice place right now, this bottle offers tons of ripe, juicy fruit. Medium-full bodied. Very savory with a somewhat sweet touch (as noted by others here). Right now, better than an Orveaux from Guyon from the same vintage that I also had lately.

Double decant and drank over next 3 hours Nose: ripe red and black cherry, dark earth Palate: ripe black raspberry, black cherry, red cherry. A full spectrum of fruit here. However, this concentrated purple fruit sits elegantly on a glassy medium bodied frame with a lift of refreshing acidity. Structure: elegant despite having so much fruit. A little zip of acidity. Fine tannins and spice on the finish. A lot of stuffing here. Great QPR to age. Not ready now …

Being a bit of a skeptic of 2015 Burgundy from the outset, this wine made me realize there are treasures to be found. It has to be a perfect (non-Leroy) Vosne Romanee Beaux Monts...at least for those that like their red Burgundy nice and savory, and with a touch of sweetness.
