When first pouring a slight violet tinge to the wine. full on the mouth and juicy. Smells of black cherry, black currant, slightly jammy. Also strong sage with cigar box/cedar and bacon fat. Like it. As to tastes, sour cherry, leather, black pepper and a touch of vanilla. Sourish notes being the dominant taste. Good length and reasonable balance. Very enjoyable.
