Direct from the winery. Usually kept in bottle for 5 yrs before release. Savoury, green olive, fig but still fresh and vibrant. Great balance and complexity. Favorite of the night across their Silvaner portfolio.

After a month under cork, this came out tonight as almost only old apples. Very old apples, the ones you would feel uncomfortable touching even if they were not mouldy. In the mouth, acids are a little low compared to the sweetness and more ugly apples. On the upside: acids are chaming and if you only manage to ignore the apple-channel, this is actually great. Google Meet tasting online : Pop and pour. This is a beautiful wine in complete balance and harmony with itself. Will get back with a more thorough analysis after next meeting with this German beauty... ...and I was under the impression that I had bought an Austrian Eiswein, as the auction stated it as such and the label has a white-red something :-) But, Frankonia is also a nice place.
