Grown in limestone soils planted 100 years ago. The aromas are smooth and tart, but pretty. Smooth palate entry which is quite creamy and soft. So much so that I feel it needs a bit more acidity and intensity. Slightly too soft on the finish and a little boring. That said, nothing really wrong.

Subtle, cool aroma, primarily like a cross between rained on stone and clean, salty sea air; some light stone fruit, citrus, and pine/herbs, too. Similar on the palate; low-intensity, but rather than come across as austere, it's friendly, tasty, and easy to like. An open book. Lemon, light peach, salt, stone. Extremely light and drinkable; thirst quenching; enjoyable.

Elbling trocken. Easy to drink, should be a great summer wine. Very simple, almost no complexity, with hints of citrus and minerality. Probably should finish off the stock this year.
