Needs a lot of air…possibly underrating this. Ideal drinking temperature is 11-13C

Leftover 2/5 bottle from Adrien after tasting… day 3 is sooo OPEN wow Pale beige gold On the nose, magnolia, honey, ginger (lmao idk why is so similar to the leflaive last nite in a way) Palate matches the nose, the tension is much softer today (day 3 after all) but still great balance Med++ finish today And I’m just using a stemless in the hotel room lol. Adrien so kind, great people make great wines!! :)

Fourrier tasting (Utregs Wijnhuis, Utrecht, NL) : No detailed notes. Medium+ intensity on the nose with precise but broad aromas of lemon, elderflower, nuts, white peach. High acidity, long and lingering finish. 94++ Brilliant bottle that didn’t get the attention it deserved

From the 'Bring Me Food' wine pairings at Ninety Acres. This is a champange that was created to be drunk with food. High acidity which is almost overpowering on its own. Lots of lemon and almost a puckering sourness to it which when paired with the fluke dish suddenly came into balance. I enjoyed it well enough, but wasn't very popular with a lot of the table.

Disgorged 10/02/2016. This is a delicious wine, given the modest price, with love,y complexity and depth.

Showed to great advantage from Lehmann's Grand Champagne glass. Nose was exquisite. In both nose and palate the fruit & mineral notes came through. Was the prelude to a 2006 Grand Dame which, while lovely, took quite a while to open up.

A private dinner (Restaurant Kasteel Heemstede *, Houten, Netherlands) : Made from 100% Chardonnay from Cuis, chalk and limestone soils, malo complete, 30% vin de réserve from a perpetual reserve started in 1986, two to three years sur lattes, dosage 7 gr/l. A very successful NV, not as tight and austere as Cuis can sometimes be, good ripe citrus fruit, dry but rounded, has attractive volume and presence, charming and with a nice sense of style.

A nice blanc de blanc with some signs of maturity.

Very soft and buttery nose. Flint stones and chalk in the nose. Some dried yellow fruit. Lemon and apple tart. Lovely champagne...
