Kollwentz, Gloria, Burgenland

Astonishing fresh for an 12 year old white. Light yellow. White stonefruit, orange peel. Concentrated. Medium to long finish with some honey.

Still tastes fresh and offers lots of tropical fruits and ripe yellow apple. Still strong oak flavors of vanilla. Served as a pirate in a white Burgundy tasting. This obviously had more power and oak influence. Excellent wine that will drink well another 5 years easily. - 92 points

Raus gul frukt, blåmuggost og ørlitegrann vanilje på nese. I munnen er dette en skikkelig power-chardonnay, men rett og slett veldig pent. Meget lekker frukt som har masse eleganse tross indre kjerne av power. Ikke merkbar eik, perfekt moden nå. 14% merkes bittebittelitt, men det skjemmer ikke vinen spesielt. Mener denne har blitt kalt østerrikes Batard-Montrachet før, og det er en sammenligning jeg ikke synes er for drøy. Flott vin.

Refined and detailed nose with gooseberry, fine but tangible oak notes that also add a slightly sweet angle to the picture. Fresh herbal aromatics. An astonishing nose but followed by a palate that came across just a bit too flat unfortunately. Nonetheless, a step-up from the 2015 I had just recently and I should also add that I had this along with a lobster cream soup which turned out to be a great pairing.

Massive yellow kiwi and star fruit scent and palate; super rich gently oaked entry, with real mineral-loaded weight and sweetness. This could be an extraordinary wine, but alas it fizzles out on the finish, which is clean but short. A fantastic drink now, but no hurry. 90P(+)

Lime and pear with vanilla, zingy zippy palate with an incredibly long lasting finish. Tight, clean and with precision. Something special here.
