I wish I liked this more. It seemed to have an off note that my favorite Pinot Noirs don’t have. We’ll be visiting Hawkes Bay soon so I really hoped to like it.

Aside Mount Nelson. Quite similar to that. Notes of lime, grapefruit and quince. Shortie, softie and pretty acid on the palate. No complains, gains either. Don't look for a cork. A la par con Mount Nelson. Muy similar a la botella con la que se la compara. Notas a lima verde, pomelo y membrillo. Cortita, suave y ácida al paladar. Sin pena ni gloria.

Indeed a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Nose and palate of sweet passion fruit, pink peach, just a little of grapefruit. Soft, light, sweet and fresh. Low level of alcohol, 12%, makes it an easy drinking, going well with light seafood.

Basically a Sauvignon Blanc with bubbles. Pleasant with its flavours of mint, kiwi and gooseberry. Bubbles are ok, but they fade quickly. Good acidity, medium body. A bit simple, but enjoyable.

Small to medium bubbles. Light yellow with a green tinge. Fresh aroma of green apples - and kiwis ☺ with a hint of dry crackers. One taster noted "washing room" or "clean, freshly washed towels". On the palate green apples, sweet peppers and some grapefruit bitterness in the finish. All in all a straightforward, ok wine, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Pale greenish yellow colour, medium bubbles, green apples and fresh white bread on the nose, rhubarb pie and green apples on the palate, mildly bitter aftertaste.

Quite a punchy nose for a white with gooseberries, cut grass, asparagus and citrus. Similar profile on the palate with refreshing acidity and decent length. Surprisingly elegant with enough character to make it quite interesting. Matched well with most of the oriental dishes served at the wedding dinner.

Deep yellow colour. The nose and palate show strong notes of lemon and sour cream. It's drinkable, but the sourness is off-putting.

Tasted this wine during the New Zealand Wine Dinner at Gourmet Plus. First experience with a sparkling Sauvignon Blanc. Very light straw yellow in colour, with the bubbles fizzing out quickly. The wine feels light and lacks body and structure. A pretty one-dimensional drink that will delight as an aperitif or after meal drink.

Intensives Aroma nach Paprika und Holunder; geschmacklich intensiv nach Stachelbeere, würzig, sehr erfrischend; zum Essen beinahe ein Paprikaersatz, muß man mögen.

PnD. Drank with chicken in a thai red curry sauce. Pale glassy gold color. Nose has a nice mix of the vegetal and tropical aspects of sb. Light with nice citrusy acid grip. Flavours of lime peel beeswax lemon guava green bean. Nicley complex for the price and a rebuy.

Finally it taste closer to 09 I had a few months ago. Very crispy, not overly dominated by any single taste, The grapefruit element is just right, with bit of lemon and pears. Still I think it will turn out better after few more months, or is that because of the vintage? Excellent qpr!

Quick taste. Nice seashell minerality to go with guava and lime peel notes. Got to get another in order to score it.

Vibrant nose of summer and everything green: freshly cut green grass, sweet flowering meadow, gooseberry, crushed currant and nettle leaves. In the palate there is powerful, slightly prickly acidity that supports voluptuous, almost sweet tropical fruit with ease. The wine is dry, lively and slightly spicy, fresh gooseberries are in the front. Mid-length/lengthy finish with passion fruit, herbs, minerality and depth. Intensive, fresh and juicy. One of the best half-bottles here in Finland, nice QPR at 7,80@.

A tad effervescent pale lemon. Grapefruit and a touch of something tropical. Pyrazine greenness, green tea, currant leaf and a tad petrolly nuance. Dry, crispy and mid-bodied minerally palate with ripe lemon, gooseberry, pineapple and whitepepper. Mid-length finish. A rather nice NZ SB. More serious than many of its peers. A rebuy, since it's available here in a half bottle.

From 375ml bottle.Pale, almost watery in the glass.Vibrant fruity nose delivering black currant and nettles.Dry,refreshing and vibrant palate, giving all those typicity fruit flavors like currant, gooseberry and nettles..Good acidity and balance.SB wines from NZ seems often very similar but they are good, indeed.

Very gooseberry, has a bit more mid palate than I was expecting. 14% semillon in the blend and that would be why. Passion fruit.

I had this after work on 4/15/11. It had a fragrant and ripe bouquet of grass, hay, gooseberry, lime, grapefruit, melon and mineral aromas. The palate was ripe, creamy and delicious with mouth watering acidity and flavors that followed the nose.

Same as before; nicely demonstrative of how grass and gooseberry can be accurate and pleasant descriptors.

Great little $12 bottle of wine. Nose of grassy and greeness. On the palate still a little green but a lot of nice passion fruit and melon. Didnt have a ton of acidity but when served cold it was very good.

{screwcap, 12.5%} From the less-than-stellar 2008 vintage, there's a distinct tinned corn quality to the developing fruits here, and perhaps a smoky touch as wll, odd for a wine that's not seen oak. The palate is losing freshness for me; it's mellow, although with a little acid kick at the end at the end of the finish. Structurally it seems OK, it's just the yellow-leaf flavours themselves that are less than impressive. Drink up.

On the nose, immediately identifiable as SB with grass, lime and gooseberry. On the palate, medium-bodied with lime, grass, grapefruit and a bit of oak on the end. There was a slight spritz on the palate that never went away which caused me to knock a couple points off.
