WOW!! What a surprise. This wine is a maroon velvet jumpsuit, loosely fitting yet flattering. As in my 2016 note (and as others found), decanting was key. Blackberry jam, strawberry acidity. Lush. It aged much better than I thought it would. Now drinking at peak. Glad I have two bottles left.

One of our favorites today, beautifully complex with dark berry notes, nicely balanced. I agree on the decanting, we tasted with and without decanting and it was very different.

When you first open it...it's all alcohol. We recommend that you decant it for a half-hour or so beforehand. Lush and thick. Great legs. Pepper and blackberry rule.
