Agree with the first reviewer back in Jan - but i'm not rating as high. I've got a bunch of the alpha in cellar and tried a more recent B crux which was good. Really coming together after a few years in the cellar. The core is black with deep crimson edges. An abundance of oak in the nose and dark fruits. The same plum & spice is present, but more nuanced with a soft tannin structure. A real gem!

beautiful dark purple red color. on the nose i get hints of licorice and caramel and lots of great dark cherry and berries. there is a oak spice as well. on the palate i instantly get some oak and fruit balanced just right then it transitions to more licorice and fruit then it finishes with wonderful peppery spice and nice firm tannins. when i first opened this wine i didnt really like it, but then i let it breath for …

Interesting blend of 50% Tempranillo, 40% Malbec and 10% Merlot. Lots of oak on the nose and palate. Big bold spicy black fruit quickly succumbs to a heavy blanket of tannins and oak. A mouthful of a wine. It could probably stand a little more ageing, but I would be worried about the fruit fading faster than the tannins. Very long, bitter liquorice finish.

A real Argentine benchmark, from Uco Valley. Big beautiful nose, full-bodied with plums, spice and oak. I confirmed the need for ~30 min in the decanter - I sneaked a glass at 10 min which paled in comparison to the lush wine at 30 min.

Well done Jose Manuel. First use oak barrels for $20..a no brainer. Complex and bold with pleasant fruit. After decanting, begin drinking when temp hits 68 degrees.

What can I say, this is a great wine. 50% Tempranillo, 40% Malbec, 10% Merlot. The nose is ripe and full of red plums, and the body is very full with big oak and strong tannins Very unique blend. Needs decanting to open it up (it even instructs us to decant on the label).

One dimensional, Aussie-style extracted sugar bomb. Lots of oak. Nothing subtle about this wine. I am sure that some may appreciate the style, but not to my liking. May update rating after tasting again the next day.
