Nase: sehr schön rauchig, Bitternoten. Mund: etwas reif/wuchtig, schöne Bitternoten, reife Gelbfrucht. Etwas leicht/kurz

Vinklubben Dionysos 2025; 1/1/2025-12/31/2025 : Gyllengul, utviklet farge. Ganske intens duft av grapefrukt, klementiner, litchi og melon. God fylde, moden og småfet med smak av grapefrukt og klementin. Ganske tung og kraftig og litt for utviklet til å være en såpass ung GG, i tillegg til at syren overdøvet frukten. Blindt tippet vi en langt eldre riesling. Ingen direkte feil å spore, men neppe en helt optimal flaske.

Kühling-Gillot Niersteiner Pettenthal GG vertical tasting 2023-2006 (Rieslinghuis Tasting Room, Zandvoort, NL) : Heavy peronospora vintage. Very smoky on the nose, incense, palpable minerality on the nose, clear and precise expression, more power and weight than the 2017, excellent drive and intensity, shapely and harmonious, long and flowing finish with typical zesty bitters.

Kühling-Gillot Niersteiner Pettenthal GG vertical tasting 2023-2006 (Rieslinghuis Tasting Room, Zandvoort, NL) : Very dry and warm vintage. Deeper and warmer style than the 2023 on the nose, almost a bit waxy, ripe citrus, tropical edge; quite broad and rich on the palate but great tension from the steely, zesty acidity; dry and rapier-like finish with noticeable bitters.

10th MW Symposium, Wiesbaden - Day 2 : Kuhling Pettenthal 2016 Extrovert, a touch reductive, citrus, pear, green apples, a few rubbery notes. Palate showing strength, stylish, green apple notes, nice texture, lime, citrus, grapefruit peel, med body, med finish, a bit more linear -/- With time, it gets smokier, some more rubber notes, grapefruit notes, great finesse, palate gets juicer, easier and smoother, elegant

10th MW Symposium, Wiesbaden - Day 2 : The wine is tight, citrus, lemon, a touch oaky, earthy, some jammy notes It shows med body, high acidity, lime, citrus, grapefruit, tart, tight, long finish. Beautiful

Überwiegend mineralische und vegetabile Aromen, etwas Firnis, Apfel ,Rauchnoten; am Gaumen Frucht und Schmelz; leider fehlt "hinten raus" im Abgang etwas Säurestruktur und Länge.

Nose: On the first day it was a little closed but it opens after some time in the fridge. Yellow apple, unripe stone fruit, white flowers, salt, and a little spice. Palate: Salty stone on the palate as well. Medium+ acidity. Too young, still.

Tour VDP.GROSSE LAGE 2018 Vol.1 (Hotel Atlantic, Hamburg) : WOW, this impressive mineralic nose, indicating all you want from a Riesling, superb limy aromas, midbodied, really deep, quiet harmonic though, ending high voltage electric high tentioned very long, way too young but one of the real classic Riesling samples, give this one at least 5+ more years, *(***-*****), 94+ potential

Große Gewächse 2016 Tasting (Winery Heilbronn) : More on the elegant side but this wine needs more time to fully come together. Orange and bitter orange zest on the nose mixed with a slightly herbal note. Harmonies acid, not too high. 91-92+
