Decent Savignon blanc, but too mineral tasting for my own measure.

Consistent with other reviews. Grapefruit, un-ripe apple or peaches. Some bite on the backside, pepper.

We drove up Howell Mountain to get to Cade two Sundays ago. What we witnessed was a horror show of fire damage. It’s hard to see nature destroyed in such a fashion. What was worse were all the brick chimneys only standing where there were once a home or a winery building. Glass fire note. The fire investigation revealed the fire was started by a Cakebread electric fence short. An additional saddening note is Dolores Cakebread, the co-founder of Cakebread …

Crisp and light and quite refreshing. Notes of lemon zest, grapefruit and light peach. Ideal wine for a Santa Ana night in San Diego with some fantastic sushi from Full Moon.

This is an awesome wine. Crisp with aromatic notes of pineapple and light (not overwhelming) citrus (lemon, grapefruit). It is light and crisp with a slight creamy (texture) finish. Perfect for summer sipping.

Not usually a big fan of whites. Too fruity. Cade has excellent balance however.

Tasted at winery – medium lemon in colour, clear throughout. Nose of lemon grass, honeydew and tangerine. Similar flavours but with vanilla and slight buttery notes. Medium body, acidity and finish. Drink now. Good.

This is a very dry style that finishes crisp with a bit of chalk.

Approximately 3000 cases of this lively and refreshing SB were made in '07. Citrus fruits mingle with spiciness (14% semillon) to provide a well balanced and enjoyable wine. A light + body and 30 second finish, this wine has some tropical fruit in the background and shows above-average complexity. Drink through 2012. Approximately $26

nose: nice smooth nose of sweet citrus fruits with mangoes and vanilla bean tones taste: tart attack with citrus fruits and bits of mangoes overall: a very nice sauvignon blanc with medium acidity and a refreshing citrus based attack. Light feel with a light mango finish

Not quite as vibrant as the last time tasted maybe 3 months ago. Nice tropical and citrus fruit up front with decent acidity. Fairly clean, but finishes with a unique minerality and it kind of just falls off the palate.

Hans tastes some wines : Tasted more like a bordeaux blend, with the layer of richness this wine carried. This wine is north of $30 in my market, and it just doesn't reach the depths that a domestic SB needs to reach to justify such a lofty price. It's good, and well done, but that's about all I can say. 88-89

Not a ton of fruit -- just high acidity. Prefer NZ SBs or a more fruity sancerre.

Perfect for a hot afternoon July 4th BBQ - crisp, refreshing, with a little more depth than most SB's.
