Easy drinking, fruity. Typical Montepulciano - medium (-) acidity, medium+ soft tannins, medium body, black fruit, plum, baking spice. Not bad.

Hard to beat for $10. Not as fresh and light as many montepulciano d'abruzzos, but still not too heavy. Pleasing red table wine.

Aromas of smoky pencil shavings, black fruit, a dash of mint and a hint of lamb. Possibly a little hot, but that will become more muted with time. Sweet on the palate, but pretty tannic. Will probably benefit from a few years in the bottle, but a lovely, and very typical Italian wine.
