Wine Reviews: A Selection of Zinfandels : SRP: $30. On the nose, a seductive aroma of blackberry, rhubarb compote, pie crust, forest floor, and sweet oak. On the palate, the fruits are much sweeter than the nose suggests – just barely reaching some pruniness. Solid acidity, no noticeable alcohol, very well-structured. A simple but solid Zinfandel.
