Greenish-gold with a slight cloudiness. Yellow vegetables on the nose. Sweet corn, yuzu, and hominy notes. Past its prime but still drinkable.

Occasional dinner group. (@ JvT) : Yellow fruits and a firm dose of oak in the bouquet and on the palate. Quite intense with good acidity, ripe yellow fruits, oak and a firm amount of sweetness. Very good wine which is ready now.

Popped and poured. A very good bottle of this. Beautiful floral nose. The wine shows flavors of lemon, papaya and peach with a hint of oak. This wine has very good acidity and focus. It’s in a good place where it’s still relatively youthful, but starting to show greater complexity.

This is still vibrant although different than my previous note six years ago. The fruit has receded somewhat into the minerals and with a distinct nuttiness. The rich texture is still there although now it had a different feel, almost an earthy feel. This is the best bottle I have had of this wine which I’ve found somewhat inconsistent year to year particularly with time in the bottle. Popped and pour. The nose is stupendous. Aromas of mangosteen, flowers, and a little honey come through. The palate is medium to full bodied but doesn’t feel heavy. The wine is a kaleidoscope of flavors and ever changing in the glass over the course of the evening with nice satisfying finish. A great bottle now …

The 2012 Morlet La Proportion Doree is greenish-gold in appearance and features an inviting nose of blood oranges, star anise, cinnamon and a pinch of pepper. A rich and creamy texture from the overabundance of semillon in the blend is almost California Chardonnay in texture. There is some oak left to be integrated, but this is fantastic now and should continue to improve over the next decade. 66% Semillon, 32% Sauvignon Blanc, 2% Muscadelle. 96+

Their best wine. Apple wax, apricot and lots of minerals. Voluptuous and elegant on the palate. Good acidity. Smells like white Bordeaux with a Cali twist.

Light golden color. Lemon curd, honey, and a bizarre element of smoked meats on the nose. Notes of honey and Lemon juice, strong but well-integrated minerality, delicious.

The oxidization is a bit off putting at first but improves nicely with time and the wine becomes much more integrated and delightful! An extraordinary wine and I'm not sure there's another like it in Napa Region... Cotton candy, mascarpone, lychee, pineapple on the nose. Great texture, mouth feel and finish. Perhaps, not perfectly integrated.... I've had this general comment with prior vintages-- I need to try a top notch white bordeaux to see how they might compare.

from magnum nose - vanilla, white flower mouth- overall rather rich and surprisingly full bodied. enjoyable but i didnt swoon over it like a few of my compadres who were really into it.

Very cloudy lite yellow-green. Smells like Orangina with lots of tropical fruits. Notes of pine needle, guava, pineapple husk, with banana in the finish. Much more complex and nuanced than I can describe with lots of energy. Really an easy and refreshing drinker despite the nuance and complexity; quite delicious.

Excellent minerality with hints of pear and butterscotch. Acidity is well balanced and outstanding with food. In a prefect place now and will hang on for another 5-7 years.
