The View Winery Pinot Noir

PnD let air for 90 mins as the indication is this see a fair bit of oak in the elevage. Cherry vanilla herbal sappy cola nose. Angular sour cherry on the palate astringent herbal note and a touch of tar. Better on the nose disjointed. Trying to do too much stylistically without the fruit to support it. Not that you should be going for style over substance.

Western Canadian wines (In and around Kelowna) : Grapes were planted in 2014 so this a very new and young wine. The oak comes through here. Vanilla. Some pepper. There's a hint of red fruits, but they are a bit hidden. Wine comes across as tight.
