Baroda Founders Wine Cellar Vidal Ice Wine

Quite nice example of Vidal ice wine, one of the better I have had. Golden yellow color. Nose of apricots and peaches with some secondary spicy notes such as cinnamon and nutmeg beginning to emerge. Fresh apricot palate with a good medium weight mouthfeel and fresh acidity, well balanced with a long finish. Drink now or keep. Very limited production, acquired at the winery. The winemaker has since passed away, sadly.

On the nose, richly sweet and fruity. Definitely smells like Vidal Blanc. Smells like an ice wine from the Niagara region. The flavour matches the aroma. The finish is long and mostly pleasant. Low viscosity ice wine. Overall impression: Good.
