Hints of chocolate, tobacco, and pepper. Dark fruit. Got a bit smokey after 2 hours in the glass. Very glad to see it held up so well after 12 years.

90-92pts. This is big fruit. Not much balance, but delicious fruit. Drink over the next 5 years. Not my style, but with a steak or big food...great.

90-91 Points. This is very dark colored and has a nose of ripe new world fruit. Flavors of dark ripe fruits, plums, figs, prunes, and blackberrys. This wine scores very high on the deliciousness spectrum, but pretty low when you consider terroir or Individuality. This wine could be produced in Napa, Chile, Australia or Argentina. Not my favorite style, but was a great match for rich NY Strip steaks and salad for dinner. I'm intersted to see if/how this ages...AMM
