PnP. Blackberry, plum, red cherry, potpourri, damp earth, green herbs, and smoke on the nose. Blackberries, red cherries, cranberries, earth, herbs, and spice on the palate. Well-judged mouthwatering acidity, fine lightly grippy tannins, medium finish. This wine had good concentration, fresh acidity, and nice complexity...I can definitely imagine this on a table at Canlis.

PnP at restaurant. Solid syrah, some rocks funk but not overwhelming, well integrated and plenty of life left in it. Enjoy now or over the next few years

Purchased from Buty several years ago and we finally got around to opening one. Decanted 30 minutes. Initially a tad hot with some WA Syrah funk. That blew off in 15 minutes and the wine settled down for the evening, becoming more smooth with just a hint of sweetness. Definitely a food wine. Great bottle that lived up to its namesake.
