Wow!, this is getting better with age. Some gravel and tobacco have developed. Last bottle, wish I had more.

The nose gives off more alcohol than is really there. Don't get me wrong this is very drinkable and very good with nice notes of raspberry. Tannins are present but not too much at all. Very enjoyable.

not a great rioja. works reasonably well as a dry-ish cooking wine. tried a couple bottles and the wine isn't flawed, just lackluster.

More of a Garnatcha based Rioja. Cranberry and raspberry flavors. Mild oak.

Very good! Lots of black cherry, plum, blueberry, black raspberry, etc. I think this wine is finally hitting its stride. Lovely now without a decant!

I agree with previous reviewers; a couple of years of additional cellaring have done wonders for this wine, and it is now in prime condition, and drinking well, with aromas and flavors of graham cracker, black cherry, and orange peel. Drink now, as I don't see it developing much complexity with additional age.

PnP at cellar temperature. A unique nose with equally proportioned plump, woodsy red fruits (mulberry, raspberry, plum) and dirty, earthy, sous bois aromas. Seems to be reasonably precise and refined while still possessing an accurate sense of place. Lower acid, but the red fruits manage to come across as quite fresh. Tannins are appropriate and fairly well-integrated. Lacks tertiary complexity and length at this point, which somewhat limits the score. All told, an honest and high quality wine redolent of …

A year in the cellar seems to have been good for this one.

Cherry & ripe strawberry, vanilla, hint of leather, powdery tannins, medium-long finish...let breathe for an hour

interesting. Day one, not a lot of fruit, some earthiness, soft tannins. Day 2, fruit more prominent, but has oxidized character with stewed plums, some prune or raisin. The bright acidity really pulls this one through. Not sure where this is going with time but will be interesting to see in a couple of years.

A tasty wine which blossomed with more and more air. A half bottle left open overnight was superior the second day. Excellent with food and has surprising depth for the tariff. I'd buy this one again. No rush to drink at all. Plenty of time left.

Still a tad tight and benefits from decanting. Spice box nose with a palate of dark berry, cassis, and white peppercorn. Heavy, verging on brooding, but balanced.

This one was a bit disappointing for me. It wasn't a bad wine but it just fell a little short. An old friend said to me once that a product that is well made isn't bad, you just don't like it. I guess that sums it up for me.

Bit lower than expected, rough tannins, monster oak profile.

Ruby red. Pleasant, medium plus bodied, good mix of grenache and tempranillo characteristics. Juicy cherry and floral aromatics, underlaid by clay. Drink now and over next half dozen years or so. 90

Nothing special. A bit astringent without substantial body, and in the very dry side. Some tannins left, but overall flat-tasting. I would not recommend this wine.

Fabulous layered nose leads to a surprisingly medium light palate. Has a solid finish. Impeccably balanced, you won't put it down. Hope to have the chance to buy more.

Very acidic and bone dry, with tooth-coating tannins. There is some good fruit underneath, but at this stage, the acidity and tannins overwhelm the other characteristics. I think I need to wait several years before opening the next bottle.

Goes along well with food, but not a freestanding Rioja offering. Middle-of-the-road QPR.

An interesting blend, but pretty much as expected. Character from grenache and tempranillo shows through, ending up with a pleasant and well-made wine. On the richer side, with some dill and coconut scented oak. Drink now and over next 5-7 years.
