Bought Wine Soc approx £40 2024. Screw cap. Riedel PN glass, ambient home kitchen temperature, 2 hr decant with a bit of swirling. NB: 93 score first night but see note at bottom for 2nd night tasting, moved up to a 94 score. Interesting nose of slight star anise, dusty barrel, hand-crushed ripe cherry, more spices. Very nice and much better than I was expecting. Darker Pinot fruit, good structure and acidity, solid depth. Should age well for a little bit and reminded me of a more fruit forward style burgundy.

Very pleasantly surprised. Not knowing what to expect for my first time having this, was impressed by the earthy tones with a hint of smoke. Not nearly as fruity as I was expecting. Nice medium to long finish.

In my opinion, a wine that's out of this world, with an intense ruby red color. The first impression on the nose is intense, fruity with cherry, currant, blackberry, forest fruits, and a just-bloomed violet, incredibly clean.
