Château Rieussec Clos Labère

Trip to Dallas - 89/90 Bordeaux and Older Cali Cabs; 11/7/2006-11/10/2006 (Dallas, Texas) : Roast pineapple and sweet coconut oak on nose. Surprisingly high botrytis? Very concentrated fruit, acidity a bit severe but still young. Good enough.

Mid-gold in colour this Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc has a rich bouquet of honey and beeswax. The palate is sweet, but surprisingly fresh and clean, showing hints of apricot and figs. (Tasted in First Class aboard BA59 from London Heathrow to Cape Town)
