Midsummer Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Katz Family Vineyard

Bottle was a gift from a friend (namesake of the vineyards...). In my cellar from 2014. Dark ruby color. Nose of red fruits, underbrush, oak. Palate showing dark cherry, red berries, cassis, cola, deep earthy notes. Red fruits through the mid palate. Full body, medium/long finish. In a great spot. Just starting to get into the 2013s, heavily tannic vintage that has taken some time to soften. This is a good example, rich and still evolving. Hard edges have rounded …
