Domaine de l'Oratoire St Martin Cairanne Les Douyes

One of my more favorite wines. A beautifully mode, complex though very accessible côtes du rhône. Nose. Floral red fruit. Fresh, basil like spices in the distance. Taste. Red fruit. Raspberry. Soft spice. Soft, but clear tanines. The sours are beautifully balanced. All in all a great drink. It complex but not heavy at all. No need to wait for more maturity. It will develop a little over time. A go to option with good company and food food

Score is purely indicative. Way too young, but only hope I'm around in 5-10 yrs when I'll open next bottle. Sort of wine that a novice drinking it at this stage in its life would say.....naw!!....think they'd be so wrong.

Fairly dark with purple hue. A very exuberant nose of black currant, garrigue, mineral breath and a touch of dried figues and/or game. Primal but already complex. Full bodied, full of fruit, of dried figues, of resins and fairly structured. The profile is dark and sunny but there's an underlined freshness to it. Long and capable of some years in the dark. Still a young wine. Local, rustic, loads of primary fruit, sweet Grenache and spicy Mourvèdre. Many years of life ahead here, tonight, just what the doctor ordered. #Kandestederne

A fantastic effort here. The level of complexity is impressive and the wine's lean body is compensated with a long elegant finish. There is a room for improvement for sure. Super Lovely! 92-93pts

Okhuysen-Proeven tussen de Stellingen: A 'cool' style, concentration, refined and that makes the wine very nice and balanced.

Expressive bouquet with good and ripe red and dark berries, garrigue, good acidity and tannin. The wine is already a pleasure and will improve with 3 – 5+ years of ageing. 88 – 89

By the glass. Another bottle that shows how wines should be made around here: endless amplitude and roundness with a sweet maturity that brings complexity and fully tamed tannins. Along with Alary and Richaud, the reference of Cairanne and on this occasion, both white and red. Por copas. Okhuysen Proeven tussen de Stellingen: firm tannins, you can even smell them, serious, needs to fill up a bit in the middle. This wine has a good future, but give it some time.

Very young, tight, firm with an pronounced acidiry and freshness, The fruit is bright and alive, this is very much a 2019. Too young. #Kandestederne
