Really opened up over a few hours. Red cherry to start, then moved to bramble. Floral forward, violets. Medium bodied and light tannin. Paired nicely with spaghetti

A new varital for me tonight! Uncorked this Dolcetto d'Alba received a while back from one of my wine clubs. Medium purple color on the pour. Fresh, very fruity aromas, including ripe blackberry, black cherry, plum, anise, violet, and chocolate. Taste is bold. Dark with those black fruits and little else. Dry with med+ tannins. Not as sweet as I expected. Solid but simple.

Deep ruby in the glass. Black fruits, lively acidity, earthy on the back palate. Polished with firm tannins. A nice, long finish. High intensity aromas: blackberry, blueberry, black raspberry, plum, earthy, crushed gravel and dark chocolate.
