Styring Vineyards Pinot Noir Premier Estate

I enjoyed this wine very much. The fruit was muted at first but increased as the wine opened up over a few hours. Great earth in the nose and the taste, but not minerally. Different from any Pinot I have had, which must be the terroir coming through. It was my last bottle and I wish I had more.

Popped and poured, consumed over two hours. Nose started with band-aid and plastic which disappeared after 30 minutes. After an hour, the wine was singing. Nose of red berries, white chocolate, licorice, wet earth and hint of petrol. Rich mouth-filling fruit, with raspberries and cranberries on the palate. This will be very nice to drink in a year or two. Bottle provided gratis by the good winemakers of Styring.
