Nice on the less acidic side of the spectrum Keller Riesling: minerals, pear, honey, pineapple, stone, apple, nice long aftertaste.

Glass: Zalto Bordeaux Popped and poured, drunk over three days. Clear, medium golden color. Clean, medium+ intense, youthful-developing nose. Some honey and spicy notes as if there are some botrytised grapes in it. Orange zests, floral notes and lots of crushed stones. Deep and complex. Nice, rounded nose. White flowers, tropical tones ala Kygo, and sweet citrus as in well-ripened clementines. Taste of pear, light apple, citrus, and something creamy. Nicely balanced, with medium length.

Very muted on pop and pour, both on nose and palate. After several hours of air it opens up and presents more generous notes of citrus, herbs, stone minerality and delicate tropical fruits. Lower viscosity than other Keller’s I have had, but that is not negative per se. Somewhat short. Will check tomorrow for further development.

Residual sugar and intense savoriness. Although not declared as such, this is clearly a feinherb, but a powerful, serious one. Drunk in the right mindset and with the right food, this is a very interesting expression of Riesling.

Residual sugar content in this wine makes me think of sweet red apples. But a bone crushing minerality of chalk and limestone brings salty complexity to a very refined, intense and fruit driven riesling. Notes of tobacco also helps pushing this wine "up and beyond" ordinary rieslings. A wine made from the fine grapes coming from the fields of Kirchspiel. Exciting Dry Riesling from Busch and Keller (Dig Wines, San Francisco) : Interesting, musky scents of thyme and citrus. Some sweet citrus on the entry, medium weight, excellent acidity, stone fruit, and stoniness. After this excellent start, it falls off in intensity toward the end. At less than half the price, I greatly preferred the basic trocken.

PnP. Still very young and a bit foursquared. However, the buildingblocks are present but I reckon that 3-5years will do it good. Off-dry.

Reasonable well balanced sweetness and acidity with tangerine and cantaloupe notes. Less minerality than other vintages. And perhaps just a shade too much sweetness relative to the acid now that this has had a few years to settle. A nice bottling overall with certain upside potential.

Very approachable and delightful. Lovely, luscious and powerful. Perfect to the traditional Norwegian dish "Fouhr-ee-kawl"

Was a bit suprised at first since the last bottle was brilliant. Had this one with limemarinated strawberrys and pannacotta and it was first after an hour or so (not decanted, maybe a mistake) it started to deliver. Even though it was not as good as my last bottle its still a great wine 91 p

Apples, lemon, tropical scents and hints of white peach. Improves with air, but doesn't need hour of hours either. Powerful in its way, and a great match with king crab risotto. Great balance, good length and sublime power that handled the food well. Benefits from the few years of age it has gotten, and remarkably better since previous tastings.

Popped and poured. Pale straw colour. Lovely nose with hints of pineapple, peaches, sea minerals, white flowers and butterscotch. Superbly balanced – light as a feather, yet packing plenty of punch. Quite a bit of residual sugar, but doesn’t come across as especially sweet (much closer to a GG than a Spätlese). Displays a lengthy, mineral-laden finish. Very enjoyable – will last for ages, but there’s really no need to wait (92-93 points).

Slightly sweeter than I expected but appropriately balanced by acidity. Faint petrol notes on the nose for the first 30 minutes. Peach, tangerine, and fresh apricot. Smooth in the mouth. Fruit is underpinned by wet rocks and other minerally elements. Overall a very well constructed wine, although I would have personally preferred it just slightly drier.

Luftet 1 time i karaffel. Søtlig duft av frisk og hermetisk ananas, nyskrelt appelsinskall, aprikos, litt banan og en mineralsk komponent. Smak av ananas, sitrus, røde og grønne duggfriske epler og lette tropiske gulfrukt toner. Jeg synes denne vinen er fantastisk i munnen med elegant fruktsødme i anslaget, velbalansert sitrus/eplepreget syre og lang "fadende" smak mot fjærlett sødme.

Rieslingfeier Riesling Crawl (New York City, NY) : There's a certain roundness to be experienced here from the slight bit of residual sugar, especially after the dry monument of a Hubacker that I tried just before this. This has a particularly nice mineral quality to it.

More air improves this wine, yet never totally muted. Apples, lemon, tropical scents and hints of white peach. Good length paired with nice acidity; better balance compared to 2011 in my mouth. Appears slightly less sweet compared to the 2011; without knowing sugar content in either of them. Not going to rush my remaining ones; resisting them however ....

The RR is a sleeper in the Keller portfolio which is often overlooked when focusing on the more famous cousin von der Fels... But that is total mistake! This wine is pure joy too and it offers up a magnificent fruit, pure minerality and an astounding length on the finish. Smells of custard apple and orange blossom. Possesses great shape in the mouth with layers of creamy, mildly exotic fruit and a strong citric spine. There is a light drizzle of honeyed sweetness and it has so much flesh but equally so much tension. Length of flavour is terrific.

2007 vintage

Fabulous array of ripe honeyed tropical fruits like passion, pineapple, apricot and lime. Almost Dönnhoff in style, hiding its blue-print Keller stoniness in the generous fruit that has some residual sweeetness (perhaps 15-20 grams) Extremely harmonious wine, better drink now if you appreciate the fresh fruity aspect of riesling.

Light yellow. The nose is amazing with smoked yellow fruit and loads of minerals. In the mouth the wine is extremely elegant while at the same time very precise with more smoked fruit and minerals. Looong aftertaste with delicious notes of licorice.
