Schlossgut Diel Dorsheimer Goldloch Riesling Riesling Sekt brut

Beau sekt, belle matière et acidité. Dommage légère amertume qui me dérange un peu en fin de bouche. A 40 euros on attends cependant un peu plus.

Rieslingfeier Grand Tasting (New York City, NY) : 82 months on the lees. This is an oddity to be sure. Rich, autolytic, and bready. The palate has a bit of white grape juice fruitiness alongside the bready and yeasty notes. A real interesting wine to try.

Almost clear color. Plenty sparkly. Weak nose, quite closed. This is my first riesling sekt and was hoping for an explosion of riesling aromas - but was dissapointed. Taste is pleasant but quite ordinary... like a standard nv champagne with little age. Not bad for a non-champagne, but this sekt is priced at more than 80$ and therefore I was expecting a lot more. Extremely elegant. Goldloch character shines through as it warms up but never goes over the top. Very well-made Sekt but a bit on the expensive side.
