Typically American Pinot, though not a lot of cherry as you might expect. Nose isn't as indicative of wonderful taste.

A classic Sonoma pinot noir. Earthy. Cherry and spice notes, but not a long finish. Still a bit of tannin. Enjoyable, and at this price point, I wish I had a couple more bottles.

PnD. 30 min. Medium crimson and translucent. Beautiful nose of Asian spice, black tea, rose petal, and surprisingly, oranges! Very nice texture with low tannins but enough acidity to keep things going. Rich flavors of blood oranges and cloves with a medium+ finish. Drinking excellent right now. Not the typical Pinot with cola and strawberries, but fantastic nonetheless. Really wish I had more... Enjoyed in a Riedel Vinum Burgundy glass at 60°F. Also tasted in a Riedel Vivant Burgundy glass, …

I really enjoyed this. Great example of Sonoma coast pinot. 2007 was of course a ripe year but this is well balanced with both fruit and asian spice (as others have mentioned) dominating the palate. Yum!

Very light red color, not at all what others have described. Smelled like wet dog, tasted like stewed prunes.

Relatively dark for a pinot. Remarkable nose: pungent peppery spices, solid but not overpowering cherries, perhaps with some stewed or cooked notes and baking spices. A bit flat at the front palate, but with excellent mid- and later-palate flavors. At first pour, the wine very much underwhelmed; the flavors were just too flat and monolithic. Improves an unbelievable amount over time. Still doesn't hit the tip of the tongue initially, but graphite-laden cherries and a spicy finish with a tad …

If you like pinots from the West Sonoma Coast, this is a great value (at the WTSO price of $30). @dbkayanda's notes are spot on -- deep red cherries and rasberries, some blackberries (but not remotely sweet or overripe), graphite, a hint of asian spices. Wonderfully balanced. Despite all these descriptors, not terribly complex. But really nice for $30.

Classic Sonoma Coast pinot. Lots of deep fruit, enough acid to be balanced. A lovely wine, especially at the price.
