Byron Blatty Wines Agenda

Nose of baking spice, vanilla, wet basil, and red fruits. Rich tang of black cherry, dark fruit, cocoa, and crème brûlée sugar with medium minus acidity. Finish disappoints with chunky tannins and loads of oak and french vanilla swamping the dark fruit. Having watched the Somm TV "Behind the Glass" episode, I was hoping to get an understanding of LA terroir but there was simply way too much French oak. Very drinkable though!
