Lise & Bertrand Jousset Renards

An excellent recommendation from the list at Winemaker's Club (incidentally I'm not sure I've ever had anything disappointing there)- crystalline, precise and substantial- I loved this. Honeyed, sharp, fleshy grapefruit, quince, tarragon, gently integrated oak giving some depth, complexity and smoke. A touch of grip on the palate, a chalky impression with ripe yellow fruit and invigorating verticality. The 14.5% alcohol is imperceptible. So delicious, so refreshing. 90-100 year old vines worked without machinery, 12 months in barrique

Honey, stone fruits at the notes. Long with a nice acidity in the mouth. Great discovery. A bit funky, but still very precise
