Drinkable, better than last year, but not improving enough to warrant keeping longer

Wonderful nose and appearance, pretty tannic. Maybe it needs another 14 years!

may have peaked. Previous freshness is turning to full fruit without the lushness. Slightly earthy, mineral, black fruits. require 15+ minutes to open, but not a significant change. Perhaps i shoudl have waited 60 minutes?

Still fresh, less earthy than 18 months ago, brambles, mineral, black fruits. Still requires 30+ minutes to open. 2nd day slightly different, but not better. 3rd day starting to turn bitter.

Made a split. Decanted for 90 minutes and drank with a dinner of grilled rib-eye and braised celeriac. The wine was opaque purple. The nose was gentle but offered cedar and fruit. The wine matched the meal very well, better than when consumed alone. With food, the acid and tannins kept the palette clean and ready for more. stumbled over this at retail 11,5$ decanted for 1 hour. color: deep dark core with pink edge. nose: great nose! notes of cedar, some toasted oak, black tea and blackberry. palate: not the most complex I agree that this is closed down right now wait 3-5 years. but it had notes of soy sauce smoked ham and minerals, and some green notes the fruit isn`t present at this stage, pretty subtle tannins for a young wine from a good vintage. …

Luminescent crimson. Classic fruitcake nose, but fresh, peppery and spicy. A good weight and length with lots of fruit but this wine needs time, its closed down, come back in 3+ years. Dry finish with a leafy and tannic grape-pip note (too much press wine?). 13% alc.

fragrant nose of earthy and cedary red fruit, lovely texture and balance, good acidity. very nice wine indeed, if none too complex.

Looks like I like this a lot more than Serge. Really lovely stuff. Fully ripe at about 13%, varietally correct (plums, tobacco, some cedar, currents), and just plain delicious. Creeping up past $10, but only just. It has a nice, long cork, too, which makes me think they're encouraging us to put a couple down. While there is not tons of depth or concentration, I would not be surprised to see this develop nicely over the medium term, say 5-7yrs; …
