A lovely warm blend. Everything I’ve read says the blend amounts are proprietary but it has some cab and merlot, as well as verdot and cab franc. Jammy cherry scent, light milk chocolate. The taste is similar, big fruits, cherry and blueberry, with light chocolate and lemon. Short but pleasant finish, not overly astringent, smooth outro. Would definitely drink again!

Solid effort. Needs some time to open up. A little disjointed but with air comes together. Darker fruit and all things considered a good QPR wine.

Magnum. Super smooth and silky. Blue and black fruits with a medium finish. I would not wait much longer. Ready to drink now.

this was my second bottle, about a year after the first. It has improved without a doubt. Delicious, smooth, aromatic ,complex with a wonderful finish. Drank over two evenings with no fade in quality. Will cellar for a few more years without effort. Will not be able to wait another year for the next one.

Decanted for 2 hours. I’d raise this to a 91 Pointer though. It’s definitely gotten more mellow, smoother and balanced. Low fruit though, promarily black. Still a nice medium-big wine. And for the price paid, a solid Excellent QPR. Would get more again, even a current vintage.

My wife picked up some VA, to the point she could not drink it. I did not and really enjoyed it. Overall, a great wine, as usual.

Over the past 2 weeks I've had the 2011, 2012 and now the 2013. SLOFRED seems to be enamored with this wine, but I was a bit disappointed considering the reviews. It's a solid wine but not epic or anything. Better than the previous 2 so it gets a 90, but I do think its over rated and over priced. I've had many better bottles for less $.

Delicious, as all AO wines. This is great value, and just what they know will tease you into wanting their higher end wines. Lot of red fruit, subtle oak, lovely!

Seems this wine is greatly over rated IMHO. Over ripe and syrupy without acid/tannin structure necessary to support the fruit/oak elements. On top of that, there is nothing that stands out about the wine .... basic and expected. Many better wines out there for the same or better price.

As is the case for every time I open one of these, it was fabulous. Drinking really well right now. Classic Napa Cab at a great QPR.

Full bodied. Dark and inky. Fruit forward but with time does become more complex. A little heavy on tannins and acid still. May like another couple years in bottle.

A great wine, but I have had better bottles and vintages. I will need to drink more before I have a final opinion on this wine and vintage.

Much better. Time in the bottle is being rewarded. This was nice and rich, but with a touch of heat. Nice and deep. A Great QPR though! After decanting, this really smoothed out. An excellent wine and a Great QPR! Get more? Without a doubt, Excellent QPR.

Another great II. This vintage has more vegitative cabernet character than I have experienced in the past. A keeper none-the-less.

Tremendous variation vs prior bottles. Fruit had dissipated and no structure. Gave it 45 mins to see if it opened up but just poured it down the drain.

Meh, red fruits, bright acidity- had with steak and it was fine, just not anything special. Could hang around for another 5-10 years fine. It was just, well, kinda boring.

Entry level Alpha Omega offering. Much lighter than the rest of their lineup. Medium bodied and medium finish. Good pizza pasta wine.

Solid red blend but didn’t strike me as particularly special. Prefer the Jayson much more at around the same price point. Drank at Arpeggio paired with mixed grille of steak, scallops, and shrimp

Red raspberry, Boise berry on the nose. Lots of power but in an elegant way. The merlot calms it down and give it a great finish with cherry, cola and a touch of oak. Great QPR

Consumed with a modest cold. Had already been accessed via Coravan a week ago, balance of the bottle was Pop n pour. Light, bright red fruit on the nose – red cherry, strawberry, wood shavings. Medium to light weight on the palate, herbs and red fruit continue in the flavor profile. Brief finish, easy to drink, not overly complex, but a great value at $31

This 15.1% wine was really good. But, and this is a big but, this baby has to be decanted. Upon opening, it was really tight and very unappealing. After about 30–45 minutes, it started getting better. 90 minutes later, it was even better. Give It Time... and you will be well rewarded. Keep in mind, this is also a young 2014 as well. Very dark color. Clear, but not brilliant. Aroma is nice... rich and dark with oak and depth. …

This is a nice effort. Red blend does have dark berry overtones, with some cedar. Nice, long finish. Balanced, with reasonable complexity. Paired well with grilled steaks. A hit with our kids.
