Domaine Dupeuble Pere et Fils Beaujolais

Dark red color. Nose of plum, cherry, and a hint of earth. Palate immediately hits with some black fruits with a mid palate featuring some earth and mushroom. Tannins hit "firm but fair" so to speak - they are present but not offensive. Great acidity. This is a wine that needs food given the tannins. Great value for $15.

With lamb sirloin at Le Voltaire.

Continues to be a benchmark for affordable, delicious Beaujolais. The core is saturated with bright, juicy red and blue fruit. Has great acidity and some gentle tannins for a bit of structure. There's enough earth and mineral to bring terroir to the mix as well.

Opened after 30-45 minutes. Nice entry Beaujolais for a relatively modest price ($18) Nice fruit and soft tannins. You need to serve this wine cool.

Haven't had one of these in at least 5yrs. Loved it when I could grab them locally for $10. Tonight, it struck me as balanced & solid but not as unique as Kermitt Lynch makes it sound. A decent "intro to Beaujolais" Bojo but there are other producers who deliver more depth for around $10 more. Paid $20 on a deep local sale. Drinks like many other $10-$15 reds.

Good expression of dark fruit, fresh, a pleasing bitterness on the finish. 13.5% alcohol, but still fresh.

This was rather grumpy yesterday, but is showing better today with black pepper, some red fruits, and a little bite.

2022 shows a retrurn to form for Dupeuble, with a vintage that allowed them to make a juicy, vibrant wine with real Beaujolais character and a nice hint of sweetness on the mid palate.

Garnet color in the glass. Nose: has an earthy fruity note that is yummy, some kind of berry like cranberry. Fragrant fresh spice on the nose like coriander, almost celery? Palate: High acid, medium body with some tannins Lots more cranberry, strawberry on the palate. Really fresh and juicy overall.

Purple and full and fruit. Punchy and full. Darn delicious. Lush, creamy and with a little tug and bite to it.
