Beeswax and honey on the nose, but also a refreshing freshness, a hint of eucalyptus. Surprising residual acidity on the taste, a slight peach apricot fruit compote taste, and a nice mouthful of bitterness on a long finish. What a pleasant surprise!

Surprise beauty. Hint of RS. Petrol starting to show. Medium-Full. Stones, earth, rich, great with a softshell crab. Had none of the richness of 07, 08 Clos Liebenberg but was solid in its own right. Adequate acidity but not exceptional. I'd drink up now.
