Tasted blind. Fruit-forward aroma profile with extracted fruit framed by beautiful layers of herbs and mineral notes of slate. The fruit is sweet and fresh with touches of vanilla. Juicy, structured palate with fresh acidity and an electric finish. This has come quite some way of the last 5 years and is slowly but surely entering the prime drinking window.

Mixed New World Tasting. All wines tasted blind. No detailed notes. One of the winners of the tasting. Fresh, clean blue and black fruit, cool minerality, structured and with good freshness and an overall excellent balance. Hefty price tag but probably the best South African wine I’ve had so far, although it’s made in a very international style.

TN: Intense dark cherries on the nose, not much more. On the palate, the wine is very intense with lots of …

2h decant. Sweet savoury spices add a lot of attraction to the mixed berries type of fruit. Still a bit disjointed and adstringent, but everything seems to be in place for further complexity gains with additional aging. Over time more sweetness and baking spices coming to the fore. This has the potential for greatness I am convinced! Will revisit in 1-2 years.
