Cantina del Taburno Aglianico Beneventano Albarosa

Some apparent seepage up through the center of the cork? Weird. Noticeably aged but I like the bready/yeasty character that it imparts to many wines. Still has some fruit; strawberry, pomegranate, bing cherry. Some earthiness as well, almost a little funk to it. Or as studleytrey commented, "hay and mushrooms". Not much acidity but it was enough to help balance it out and the bottle disappeared pretty quickly. Overall it was interesting and enjoyable. Would buy again.

Just realized we still had one of these. Way over the hill at this point, but not undrinkable. Twas ok.

Pleasant, but nondescript bouquet and strawberry red color. A light red wine taste followed by a tangy spicy note. Much more interesting than the 90 Plus brand rose I recently drank, but a few more dollars per bottle.

full red, full strawberry, little acide, nicely balanced.

Aglianico rosé...nerd alert. Love the concept and the bottle, which is pretty sexy. Nice pink hue. Aromas of strawberry, hay and mushrooms. Good acidity and flavors of strawberry, raspberry and lemon. An interesting wine that paired fabulously with my back yard.
