A month in Barolo: A visit at with Giovanni Correggia at Matteo Correggia (Roero, Piedmont, Italy) : The vines for this wine are 75 years old, and it was bottled in June of '19... so most of the aging occurs in bottle, at the winery, before release. Tasted at a Piedmont futures event, a late release from the winery. Incredibly fresh and youthful compared to my expectations for Arneis at this age. Delicious now but will certainly continue to improve with more time in the cellar.
