Tasty wine. Crisp acidity with flavors of lemon curd, citrus zest. Hints of tree fruit and a flinty edge. Plenty of life left if stored well. Recommended with food.

a nice summery midweek drinker not as memorable as a meursalt despite the buildup but none was wasted on our little get together

Pear and licorice on the nose, followed by balanced and dilute apple flavors.

Fine straw color, maybe even a greenish glint; a seductive oaky floral bouquet. On the palate a distinctive citrus, mineral-laden, yet with some lushness. A very pretty wine.

Drinking from a plastic cup in the heat of a summer afternoon at the Morton Arboretum is not a recommended method for assessing a wine's character, but I felt a little celebratory and went for something better than the usual en pleine air plonk. I cannot agree with the recent TN posted in June regarding this wine. Later evaluation at home from a proper glass confirmed my appreciation: floral oaky notes, minerality aplenty, some delicate lemon/lime, smooth on the palate.

not well integrated and strangely bitter when it finally settled down a bit flabby there was minerals and lemon to enjoy

More than a year since the last quaffing; I have to say it is doing very well. Shut your eyes and think of a white Burgundy in the mid-range and this is it. Coche-Dury it will never be but at a fortieth of the price it provides pleasure aplenty, beginning on the nose which is an enchanting perfumed floral and oak combo. Lush on the palate with good acidity, but structure and some depth of age appearing. A wine-maker to …

Chris brought this one, bought at the corkscrew. Popped and poured, first wine of the night. Proved to be a perfect aperitif for the evening, with some bigger reds on the way. Classic White Burg, deep yellow color, ripe and lush mouthfeel. First experience w/A Bonhomme wines. Elegant and balanced wine. Honey, apricot, melon, tropical fruit, crushed stones. Very enjoyable and great QPR - not sure you can do better in the $20-$25 range

Very clean and approachable. Nothing really interesting going on here, but this is a GREAT QPR wine. Glad I have more!

Lots of burning rubber on both nose and palate. off-putting. I suppose this might blow off with a decant. Firm acidity. 80-83pts

Deep yellow. Tropical fruit, citrus and a bit of toast. Ripe entry, lush, layered feel. Sound acidity toward the back end. Attractive, open, and not really structured like a 2008 Cote de Beaune wine.

Well made white showing off melons, apricots, and nice minerality of crushed stones. Great with lighter foods, but was a nice aperitif as well.

I like Andre Bonhomme's wines. He seems to reliably produce wines with a very good to excellent qpr. This is no exception. Pretty green apple and stone fruit with good minerality and salinity and an uplifting, mouthwatering acidic core. The oak treatment is quite noticeable, but is not at all overdone. It adds some nice richness without being overpowering.

Smells nice with some lemon custard, mineral and floral aromas. Tart apple, lemon, slight salty mineral notes. Creamy mouthfeel but crisp acidity and a clean finish. As the wine warms it fattens up a little. Enjoyed it.

Andre Bonhomme makes wine that ranges from the good to the very good in my experience. The very good represented by the ethereal Vire Clesse '06; the good by the Macon '08 of the wines I have tried. I would put this midway. Pale straw, perfumed subtle aroma, a hint of oak, elegant and quite delicate on the palate, saline, mineral and citrus, balanced.

Excellent nose with a mineral/saline note, slight acacia, slight honey. On taste a citrus note comes (lemon), but biting acidity. Off balance on its own this really needs food to go along with the acidity. Not really a sipping wine or a glass you want to have on its own. Really needs food.
