Drinking extremely great. Wow! I normally say good but great does justice. Drink or hold. Very complex, now at least. Sandalwood, restrained autumnal spice including graham cracker, black cherries. Beautiful, but will be better. Concentration and viscosity in perfect check. No fade. Virile and long haul expected. Toast is perfect and noble. Nice acidity. Beautiful. Congrats to the team over there and the terroir. *Just looked at the ratings for this vintage/vineyard and winemaker and lucky to have scored a …

This wine is by far the best new world Pinot I have had. It’s medium to full bodied and complex. Very much old world in style. Polished tanins and many years ahead of it. Drink or hold.

This was very nice. Not deep or complex, but a good spice and savory quality, in an elegant package.

Light cherry color. Nose has red fruits, cinnamon and a surprising dose of spicy oak. Medium bodied with good acidity. Drink up with late summer fare. Not the depth I was hoping for but good Wine. (89)

No so much spritz, but the same kind of brightness and lift that spritz can sometimes have. Not much tannins, but bursting with mouth-watering acidity that keeps this fresh and juicy. Crunchy cherries, sandalwood and loads of baking spices. Lovely, svelte Pinot.

2007 ANTHILL FARMS ABBEY-HARRIS` VINEYARD ANDERSON VALLEY PINOT NOIR- another well intended bring by the one who brought both Anthill Farm wines; unfortunately this one was corked. I need to re-visit both for a more accurate assessment of this producer`s Pinots.

Stunning. A bit of spritz like I've noticed in many AHF pinots, but not off-putting, and blew off quickly. Bright bing cherry with earth and spice. Complex with a long finish. Much life ahead of this one.

Bottle #1 of 3. Bright red fruit, delicious, very young. Great cut, detail, nuance and especially acidity that keeps this lively and fresh.

Prominent dark berry fruit with some spice. Ripe but balanced palate. Well-structured and complete through the finish. Very nice wine to enjoy over the next 10 years. (91)

Seemed a bit odd on first opening (thin, acid poking out). A half-hour later, however, and it was just fine. Spice, light red fruit, nice texture. A good pinot noir, but not special.

Nice nose, but very flat... not sure what was wrong, but it was lifeless and didn't have a lot of fruit.

Hmm, should be a great wine but awfully unimpressive tonight. Too ripe and fruity mixed with vanilla and oak. My first time with this wine so I recuse myself on final verdict. Rhys pinots from same vintage showing much more life.

Wild and sausage. A bit spritzy on opening. Settled down with air but never really blossomed. Aggressive and a bit herbal. I don't know where it's going but I don't think age will be the friend of this bottle. Good now - drink soon. Completely different from last bottle tasted. Confused.... (88?)

Medium ruby. Terrific nose of fresh raspberry, cherry pits, wet stone, lilac, and iodine. Sinewy but overt red raspberry and mulberry fruit on the palate lushly presented but gradually overpowered by hard oak notes which became the dominant palate presence. Copious acidity and strong tannins submerged by fruit. Moderately long finish with acrid red fruit and some wood. Not sure what happened here, perhaps an off bottle.

Impressive re berry aromas and flavors with sweet baking spice. While the profile is very reminiscent of a well done Vosne-Romanee, this is clearly New World in its more flamboyant textures and candied fruit. This finishes with very good acidity that provides freshness and some energetic finesse. Very well done. At its peak now, but I'd expect this to drink well for probably 5 more years.

Day 1: quite savory and restrained, day2: showing lots of acidity and quite tart, day 3: the fruit emerged and all things came into balance. The best Cali PN I have had in a long time on day 3. Long life ahead of it.

Lighter pale ruby,. Amazing burgundian aromas of exotic spices, cola, and tomato juice. Silky palate with an entire universe of high toned cherry, cinnamon brown sugar and earthy cherry pit. Incredibly long finish. A complete wine.

Beautiful Pinot. Fresh cherry fruit with tobacco, smoke and mushroom on the nose On the palate, the profile started with red cherry fruit and tailed off with earthy toasted flavors atop brisk acidity and soft tannins. Quite a nice wine.

After reading a few notes mentioning this was in a good drinking window I thought I'd open a bottle. Beautiful bright, clear, medium ruby color. Highly aromatic, with delicate red fruit, spice and an intoxicating blend of mixed flowers. The palate is still showing some medium tannins, and light but energetic red fruit. Some heat shows up briefly, as does a slight bitterness in the finish, but nothing too distracting. Overall, a very nice pinot, and I agree it's in …

Perfumed nose of red berry fruit, floral accents, licorice. This is lush, with penetrating and pure red fruits, a beam of focused strawberry, ample acidity around the edges. I see the upside potential here, and could even the see the argument for giving this more time yet. I suspect patience will be rewarded here.

Opened and poured, this wine shows a detailed bouquet of youthful and underlying maturing elements. The wine begins with red fruits that become darker with airing. The color is a tarnished medium ruby that is correct for the wines age. The medium bodied palate shows excellent overall balance with medium length finish. This wine is probably at or around its peak.

This arrived with the cork protruding through the wax seal, and I didn't want to chance giving this the 10 more years it deserves, so decided to take one for the team. P&P, then tried over 3 hours. Subdued nose at first, eventually revealing strong warm rustic plummy and black cherry notes. A good amount of heat and alcohol on the nose. Where this wine shines though is on the palate. Blazing acidity, clean and concise red and purple fruits, …
