Opened for a non discerning gathering. Big bright with spice and licorice. Fit the bill.

Nose: This was orginally somewhat closed and funky, but with some bottle and glass aeration reveals aromas of spice, dust, blood, cement and red fruits. Palate: Spicy up front followed by red fruits, some cassis, good acidity and a medium length finish. Decent Aussie that emphasizes more secondary character than unabashed fruit, and a steal at $15 on clearance.

Drank 24hrs after opening and stored under vacuum. - inky dark purple - dark fruit notes initially evident on the nose but quickly becomes a intriguing mixture of vanilla, smoke and game meats that ends mineral notes. - extracted blackberry and blueberry a bit sweet but under control. Brought to NYE party. Big bold aussie shiraz, spicy, a little hot. Good party wine for the greatly discounted price…

A bit reticent on the nose at first. With some air it started to open up, displaying smoky blueberry and blackberry fruit, with a spicy characteristic. In the mouth, very full bodied, with tons of fruit and smoke that just coat the palate. A bit of black pepper in there as well. Quite tasty, with ample airtime.

not so aromatic. chocolate, black fruit and tabacco. good big structure. power tasting.

Tracking behind the 04 right now, but opened up nicely and will come around with time to offer a lot of pleasure.
