Charles Joguet Chinon Rosé

Pale copper core. Fairly shy nose, but with a nice hint of strawberry. Dry, crisp acidity, with a pleasant, red-fruited tinge (strawberry and tomato water) that places this rose just slightly on the red side of the rose spectrum.

MDW BBQ (Chicago, IL) : For a rose, this is outstanding. Easy drinking, with a nose that has a slight green pepper bite to complement the juicy fruit here. Good acidity helps keep this fresh. Maybe a bit more complexity than most roses, which is always a good thing, but if you're not looking for that, this is still excellent drinking.

This is a memorable glass of rose. Plenty of melon and berries as you'd expect, but with a unique bell pepper note that adds interest and complexity. Nice light body with fresh acidity.

red fruit, lemon and almost meaty

Aroma: fragrant floral aromas with notes of lime and buttered toast. Palate: tart and flinty with flavors of lime zest and watermelon. Somewhat bitter.
