Good value wine, aged really well. A well constructed generic Bordeaux, not many highlights but not a single flaw. A soft and muted nose with cherries, vanilla, earthy undernotes. On mouth it is soft, with a clean palate, smooth tanins, a fruity taste of ripe red and black fruit, just not a very long finish. For the price it's a very good find, considering It's a 15 year old, doesn't feel old at all.

Nice! Last bottle of 12. Nothing too complex or serious, but has developed rather well. In the middle of its drinking window surely, will maybe last a few years more in a good cellar. Darkly coloured, showing no fatigue. Classic, open Bdx nose, winey rather than fruity. Firm attack, nice length, tension and some last fine-grained tannins. Very good for a Bdx Sup.

I thought this outperformed the Fransciscan merlot and cab at the tasting, and is less expensive. Nothing exceptional, but showing well and delivering Bordeaux cassis, coffee, tobacco, earthy cherry. Pretty expressive tonight as a pop and pour.

This was pleasant and straightforward with nice fruit. Structured, but the tannins have softened. A little tight on the nose perhaps, but overall pleasant.

This wine is not ready yet, but shows some interesting character. A good balance between fruit and terroir, shows prominent red and black fruit aromas as well as some earth, oak and a hint of tobacco. On mouth it feels a bit tannic right now but is enjoyable and balanced, shows a medium body and a moderately long finish. A classic bordeaux, not overdone and easy to drink, needs a couple of years more to be at its best, recomend …

Medium bodied with nice fruit. Good, but I wish this was a little cheaper.

Couleur très foncée. Beaucoup de fruits noirs. Presque lourd. Si c'était à refaire, j'attendrais 3 ou 4 ans avant d'ouvrir.

I have to echo the previous posters here, esp. re this wine being too young. Almost impenetrable tannins, with definite cassis, tobacco, tar coming through. This wine is nowhere near ready yet. Given that I paid only $10 for it, I'll be picking up more to stash away while they last. A nice old school Bordeaux Superior for those who crave such things (and I am one of those).

I can see where this one may have a future. The nose was showed promise with a big tannin finish.

This wine has a nose of tobacco, tar, and some dark fruit. It has big tannins and some nice cedarbox and cigar like flavors. Way too early for this one, too disjointed at this time. Give it 5 years at least in the cellar. If you are looking for a decent 05 Bordeaux to drink now under $15 try a 2005 Château Les Terrasses de Bouey. Update: I went back to this wine 3 days later and it showed much …

Perfectly nice easy-going bottle of Bx Sup. Wait for another year for it to become fully ripe.
