Go Eagles! This is drinking better than the last bottle I had. There is some fruit, but we have tertiary Madeira flavors and aromas. Dark brick in color with browning. Tannins gone, but slight acids complement the fruit.

Ok value when purchased. Well past its "prime" 16 years later.

This has been consistent for me, despite a 1 hr decant this time. The wine is full of dark berries, boysenberry, blackberry. The nose is desirable with the deep berries. The palate lacks structure, is fruity and jammy. There is plum and more dark berries. There is not enough acid, too much fruit, and no tannins to speak of. It reminds me of a party wine.

Taste much better after decanting for about 30 minutes.

Thin, light on fruit, some firm acidity seems to close off most flavors. A faint hit of vanilla on the end from the oak. Nothing bad or off-putting: ideal for the "house red" at a charity event bar.

Hey, it was better than the last bottle! There were some cabernet qualities to this wine. It was still reminiscent of cheap red wine.

Mövenpicks 70th Anniversary (Mövenpick winestore, Hamburg, Germany) : one glass, brief note: way too much influenced by the barrels, sweet concentrated black fruit, coffee, mocha, a silky everybodys darling crowd pleaser, * -**-?, 83+?, i have red about 6$ US price, in germany around 20€!

Very good at the price point. Black berry, black cherry and vanilla at entry, powerful fruit and oak - best if given at least a few hours of air, softened nicely.

This is hard for me to evaluate. Day 1, nothing but a fruit-forward cheap wine aspect. The wife, who is not too picky, would have nothing of this wine, instisted I give her something else. Day 2, some semblance of a cabernet, still extremely fruity and screams of cheap wine. It is drinkable, so a low 80's score seems prudent. 3 more bottles at $6 each, I hope they're better, even down at this low price point.

Typical Napa Cab with great potential. Much younger than 2013. Hints of vanilla and oak. Needs time to age and breathe. Maybe 88 or 89 pts later.

Deep maroon color, clear, not cloudy. Very slight brownish tinge on the edge. Wine was overchilled so nose was closed at first. Some funk, barnyard and a whiff of sulfer. Blueberry, vanilla and nice rounded mouthfeel. Not complex but pleasant flavours, easy drinking, a moderately dry tannic finish. For 12 bucks I preferred this over the more serious Herzog Napa Cabernet @ $28.

hints of licquorice and spice on nose. Not over the top. Times are tough. Gotta be thrifty on my bottle buying. Doesn't break the bank.

This bottle tasted oxidized. Not a very good cab to begin with, it may simply be past its prime.

Flavors were rough, as were the tannins. It had a artificial taste, something like diet soda vs. regular. Pretty odd stuff. Surprisingly, it was somewhat improved the second evening. Glad I only bought a single bottle from Winex. I normally find their writeups pretty fair and accurate. They lost a little credibility with this one.

Very dark color. Nose has (at least iniatially) a lot of fake-grape and not much else. There's a sweet softness on the palette, but it's mostly overwhelmed with more fake-grape flavor. Some fairly high acid, medium-high alcohol and lots of cheap wine flavor.

Fairly rot-gut stuff, although if your looking for something cheap and not enough to make you puke immediately, its not all that bad!

Nothing really special. This is not a full flavored berry tasting cab, but decent. Rather soft and unassuming.
