Found in cellar after I forgot that I bought it last year. Made from mostly very old vine Grenache. Light purple/red color. Nose of blackberries, plum, garrigue, kirsch, spice and herbs. On the palate, black cherries, more blackberries and plum, cinnamon, nutmeg, rosemary, thyme, vanilla, fresh cocoa, and slight florals. Worried about the 15.5% ABV but honestly this has tons of complexity and wasn't overshadowed by the alcohol. Curious to try a more aged version or a better vintage.

St Cosme Vertical (@Lasse) : Toasted oak and raspberry fruit but also a touch of red plums. Quite lush and with a sweet raspberry touch but in a decent balance with a piercing acidity. Lovely wine!

Intense wine with good minerality, vibrant freshness, sweetness from Grenache. Complexity to come. #MasterClass

Very good wine but not at same level than the fabulous 2020 91-94/100

Revisited the gigondas on the third day. Still young, lively and perfumed. Acidity grew a little bit more and tannin turned softer.

Drank well, though some of the minerality is gone. Lots of spice and fragrance, heavy on the garrigue, strong tannins still holding things together.

Talk about an easy drinking wine — perfectly balanced with absolutely nothing out of place. As easy to swirl in your mouth as air to breathe...dangerous. Lots of tannins on the finish. I understand the hype. Compared to Le Claux, this isn’t as much about complexity or longevity, as it is about hitting that one bullseye right on the spot.

Consistant with first note: cherries, red berries and cedar wood. Excellent balance, long aftertaste, complexe and meaty.

Dark ruby color with smell of cherries and red berries. Still young on the palate with taste of red berries, white peppar, cigar, tar. Needs some decanting to get full in balance.
