91pt: Think this wine is getting much better over time, and appears to be a real nice bargain. Velvety black cherry and oak on the beginning. Very nice finish with a hint of tobacco.

nose - plummy & very ripe mouth - juicy red fruit, good acidity, still with tannins. Nice effort & has settled down quite a bit since tasted last year.

Nose: Fruit w/ a little spice. A little pencil shaving. Taste: Well balanced. Some oak, but not too much. Very nice. Surprised that it is 15.8% alcohol. You wouldn't know it if the label didn't report it.

strong nose of sweet oak. also tea. tasted blind along with several other zins (from sonoma). more highly oaked than the others. +tannlc. Probably needs some time in the cellar. Went well with cheese. I'll consider setting aside a bottle for a while.
