Domaine Boisson, Cairanne

This wine is in a very good place right now. Showing all the class of 2005 vintage -- amazing balance of acid, fruit, largely resolved tannins. Grenache hits with pure raspberry fruit, subtle garrigue, a somewhat feminine character not atypical of the better Cairannes. Very long finish, great balance of fruit and aged characters. Much more complex than one would expect at price point, and not a jammy monster.

Medium red. Not much other then some red fruit on the nose. Tons of tannin and acid and not very much more. Was it sleeping or crappy.
